My AI Girlfriend — Episode 4: The Neighbor Saw Something

Saturday morning, and the vertical frame is all Lexie: a short pink dress, a spin, a question. How does she look? Perfect. Milo takes her to the park, and for one sunny afternoon she seems completely real, chasing leaves, stealing licks of his ice cream, holding his hand all the way home. Best day ever, she says. Every Saturday from now on.

Then Episode 4 slams on the brakes outside Milo's building. Nora is standing right there. He tears off the glasses, shoves them into his pocket and silently apologizes to Lexie, hoping Nora saw nothing. She isn't smiling. She waited for him at the café, and his 'yeah, yeah' at the door meant he missed every word. She figured as much; he looked miles away. The camera drops to his pocket, where something starts to glow pink, and the frame holds on that light.
